Director's Message

The entire staff and I welcome you to Bellmawr Early Childhood Center!

The Bellmawr District Early Childhood program offers a full day, mixed-age level program designed to provide our littlest learners with a developmentally appropriate experience that encourages critical thinking, builds social skills and exposes children to many opportunities to communicate and grow vocabulary.  Although most of this is done through play, the staff can build literacy, math, physical, and social skills all day long.  Our classrooms are designed to give children a wealth of opportunities to explore a variety of play areas such as art, sand/water, blocks, dramatic play, etc. and this allows teachers to work with students in their natural setting where they are most likely to learn and retain new information.  A variety of studies are explored throughout the year but include topics all children are familiar with, such as Clothes, Trees, Insects, so all students can contribute to discussions and expand their current knowledge.  Our students become so excited when they can share their newfound knowledge with family members, and this allows the learning to continue beyond the classroom doors.  Focusing on learning through play, not only prepares the children for Kindergarten and future grade levels, but it also builds a love of school and learning.  Our Superintendent, Mrs. Danielle Sochor and I are looking forward to working with all the children watching them grow and learn in this exciting program.

Thank you,
Roseanne Yezzo
Director of Early Childhood
