The entire staff and I welcome you to Bellmawr Early Childhood Center!

Elementary school is one of the most formative and exciting stages in a child’s life. Bellmawr Early Childhood Center’s staff members function as a team working together to foster child development in each of the learning areas: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language. Our teachers will demonstrate a love of learning, provide lessons that challenge, and inspire your children to do “their” best. The love of learning, the excitement of curiosity, and the understanding of the elements of relationships with others will be explored, learned, and practiced.

Bellmawr Park is known for its warm, nurturing environment. Each child is encouraged to participate, provided opportunities in which to excel, and guided through the process of developing his or her own unique style.

As family support is so instrumental in a child’s educational success, it is my hope that we will continue the strong "parent-school-community" partnership that has always existed in Bellmawr Early Childhood Center.

2015-2016 SCHOOL GOALS

*English Language Arts - To implement Benchmark Reading grades 1-6; to provide professional development for those teachers

  • Goal #3 – Attend Benchmark series PD and implement lessons with fidelity

*Assessment - To utilize Link It as the online data collection system through the grades and the content areas

  • Goal #4 – Attend Link It PD and utilize to collect and analyze data

*Academics

  • To create a summer regression program for the lowest 20% of our population
  • To ensure that 80% of fourth grade students are on grade level according to multiple measures: running records, DRA, CSA in Benchmark
  • To see 5% growth on those students assigned to READ 180 in 5th and 6th grades.
  • To successfully implement a full day early childhood program for three and four year olds.
  • To utilize the Master Teacher to develop a comprehensive assessment system for the early childhood learning environment.
  • Goal #5 – Utilize data to inform instruction increasing student achievement in ­­Grade Four with 80% performing on or above grade level
  • Goal#6 – Implement full day program for three and four year olds and utilize a comprehensive assessment system in the Early Childhood Center
